The Ziggy Cup 2 For Easier Wear and Removal
Made of 100% medical grade super-thin silicone, the Ziggy Cup 2 is designed to be body safe, reusable and comfortable during wear. The ribbed tab allows you to remove this menstrual cup with ease, and well as have an easier time inserting it correctly! The cup comes in two sizes; size A and size B. Both are comfortable and wearable during sex (while still providing mess-free protection). Read below to find what’s best for you!
Choose Size A if…
- You have a low cervix
- You have light to medium flow
Choose Size B if…
- You have a high cervix
- You have a heavy flow
The shape of this cup is made to be less noticeable during wear. Comfortably enjoy your normal activities while having up to 8 hours of leak protection. Don’t worry about any leaks coming through- the double rim design prevents any leaking from happening!
How do you insert a menstrual cup?
To insert this cup, lightly squish two sides of the cup together, to make the opening shaped like a figure eight. The ribbed tab side of the cup is the “front.” Insert with the non-ribbed side going first. Use your index figure to gently push the cup. Push the cup to be angled back, and slightly downward. The rim should move behind your cervix. Tuck the front (ribbed side) behind your pelvic bone.
This position allows your cup to properly collect your flow while maintaining comfort. To remove, insert your finger and hook it at the ribbed tab. Gently and slowly pull it out, and be sure to keep it held sideways (horizontal) so you won’t spill it.
Why Use a Reusable Menstrual Cup?
Using a menstrual cup is great for many reasons! With this specially-designed cup, you can continue to be intimate even during your period without worrying about mess. Because the cup is washable and reusable, you’ll save money by not spending on expensive disposables every month.
To add to this, you’ll help reduce your carbon footprint by switching to reusable products. That means you won’t contribute to the massive waste (both landfill and ocean pollution) that is created by disposable period products every year.
Not only will the earth thank you, but your body will too. A reusable, medical grade silicone cup is much safer for your body than disposables are. Disposable period products often use chemicals, fragrances and plastics in their design; which is not safe to be close to or inside your body. With a reusable menstrual cup, this is no longer a worry.
