Why Use a Stomach Wrap Band Postpartum?

Belly wrapping and stomach wraps bands have helped many people after pregnancy, for both types of delivery (vaginal or cesarean). In general, wrapping can help assist your muscles and organs as they move back into place after the surgery. For those who had a cesarean delivery, it may help with pain and healing of the scar.

After delivery, your body will go through a period of healing. A belly wrap can assist with your stability and posture during this time. Although this may sound unnecessary to some, it’s important not to underestimate your body’s need for proper posture, stability, and added comfort that a stomach wrap band may provide during this important healing process.

The added support and stability will help you better ease into your usual activities, and help ease any back pain you may experience postpartum.

About the BFF Wrap

Belly Bandit’s BFF wrap was designed with comfort and customization in mind. The corset-inspired design allows for curved sides, so you can feel like you again. The strap itself has 9 inches of adjustability that allows you to tighten the wrap as you need and as you heal. There are also 2 compression panels with tabs that allow you to customize the amount of compression or fit. No need to worry about the secureness of this stomach wrap band; the strap consists of 9 velcro closures, so it will stay in place at your desired adjustment!

In terms of support, this product contains 6 panels to support your body during its healing process. The stomach wrap band is also covered in a soft, silky viscose made from bamboo to support better comfort during wear. You’ll want to wear the band snugly to benefit from compression, but do not wrap too tight. You do not want to inhibit proper blood circulation or the ability to breathe from wrapping too tightly. This product can be worn soon after delivery as soon as you feel the need for support, and is worn usually for a minimum of 6-10 weeks.

The height of this product measures 8 inches, so it is recommended for those with shorter waists or more petite body types. (No worries though if this isn’t a fit for you, Belly Bandit makes a couple different belly bands to suit different needs and body shapes). The first time you wear your wrap after pregnancy, it may barely close. That’s normal! As your body returns to its original shape, you will be able to adjust the stomach wrap band with you as you recover.

To care for this product, simply machine wash on cold without bleach. Let it air dry by laying it flat, and do not iron or dry clean.
